Get your IT sorted
Find out how to log in to University systems including email and wifi, how to print on campus, and how to access the online tools you'll need for your courses.
Logging in
You need a username and password to log in to all online University systems.
Finding out your username
Your username is printed on the top right of your Confirmation of Study email or form. It is the first six characters of your last name and the first four characters of your first name (eg. smithjohn). If the username already exists, a number will be added (eg. smithjohn1).
Creating your password
You need to set up a password before you can login. A security code will be emailed to you. Once you have the security code, visit our password system and set up your new password.
Using your University email address
You'll be given a university email address that has 100GB of storage and can be accessed through your student Office365 account.
This email address is the University’s main form of communication with you, so it’s important to check this account regularly. You can forward your university email to another address to make this easier.
Updating contact information
To update your preferred email address, physical address and contact numbers through Student Records. Keep your contact details up to date so you don't miss out on important information.
Storing your work on myWorkspace
myWorkspace is a secure disc space where you can store personal files. To be safe, save all your files to your H: drive and back them up on a USB.
Printing on campus
You can print on all campuses at a cost of 10 cents per A4 black and white print, and 20 cents per A4 colour print.
Printing credit
Check the balance of your printing account and top up your account online by visiting the Printing Funds Portal.
You can also check your balance by logging onto a student computer and clicking on the ‘student printing and balance’ icon on your desktop.
Using our free wifi
You can log in to our wifi using your own device from most common areas on all campuses, once you've set up your login. Log in using your username and password.
