New Students’ Orientation

Nau mai, haere mai, welcome. Each trimester, the University runs New Students’ Orientation to welcome all new students and get you off to the best start.

Whether you're coming straight from school, returning to study as a mature student, starting your first degree, transferring from another tertiary institution, or beginning a postgraduate qualification—our New Students' Orientation events are here to support your journey from day one.

The next New Students’ Orientation will take place in the week starting Monday 29 June—the week before the start of Trimester 2, 2026. The timetable will be published closer to the time.

Join us in 2026—apply for your chosen programme of study (qualification and major), then select your courses to complete your enrolment.
