New Students’ Orientation

We welcome new students to the University with events to help them find their way around campus, prepare for study, meet new people, and have fun.

If you're starting your studies in Trimester 2, join us for New Students' Orientation:

  • Tuesday 1 July and Wednesday 2 July—sessions specifically for new international students, including international postgraduate students.
  • Thursday 3 July and Friday 4 July—sessions for all new students and sessions specifically for new Māori, Pasifika, and postgraduate students.
  • Monday 7 July—Pasifika welcome evening, session for late-arriving international students.

Need a bit of help getting started? Use this introduction to plan your Orientation activities. Most Orientation sessions take place on our Kelburn campus—this short guide describes some key rooms and buildings.
