YOU Student Wellbeing Survey 2021
The 2021 YOU Student Wellbeing Survey has been sent to all first-year undergraduate students at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington. Second and third-year undergraduate students have also received a follow-up version of the survey, if they previously indicated a wish to stay involved.
This is an ongoing project, reaching out to undergraduate students twice a year for each year they are studying. In conducting the survey, the research team aims to understand more about the factors which influence student wellbeing and how they impact the student experience. The more students who complete the survey, the better our understanding will be.
Insights from the survey will be used to help improve the University’s learning environment and support services.
A link to the survey was sent to students by email and they can complete it online from Monday 12 April.
Students will be asked to supply their Student ID number and last name, in order to gain access to the survey. This ensures that students are completing the relevant survey for them.
The survey should take 15 to 20 minutes to complete and all responses are confidential.
To say thanks for completing the survey, we are giving away two prizes of $100 each week as well as $500 at the end of the two weeks—there will be a draw for each of the surveys and winners will be selected at random.
The survey closes at 11.59 pm on Sunday 25 April.

Student Voice—Getting Started
The Student Voice—Getting Started survey was sent to all new students in March 2021.

2021 Graduate Destinations Survey
The purpose of the Graduate Destinations Survey is to gain information on the types and location of employment, salary ranges, and further study opportunities graduates may take up after completing their qualifications.
The survey is conducted in Trimester 2 each year and captures information of graduates who completed their studies between the beginning of July the previous year and the end of June the current year.
COVID-19 Student Experience Survey
In May 2020, the COVID-19 Student Experience Survey was sent to all students at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington.
The aim of the survey was to learn more about the impact that the COVID-19 pandemic has had on our students. Insights from the survey will help inform the continuous improvement of teaching and learning, research and the overall student experience at the University. We also want to understand the impact on your wellbeing, including the financial impact, so we can provide appropriate support and ensure the best possible outcomes for students.
