Student and academic services team

The team in the Student and Academic Services Office has a range of responsibilities including providing advice and assistance to students.

To ensure continuity of service, the team manages a particular group of students according to surname and/or qualification (see below) throughout their study.


  • Management of Faculty student and academic services
  • Associate Dean’s withdrawals
  • Aegrotat coordination

  • A–B of BA, BC, MA, and PhD students
  • MICAT, MC and MIndS (and associated certificates/diplomas) students
  • M–Z of Study Abroad pre-approvals
  • Administration of credit transfer applications from international students

  • W–Z of BA, BC, MA, and PhD students
  • PGCert/DipHELT students
  • Enrolment applications and related student administration
  • Training Faculty staff in grade entry and enrolment systems
  • Processing of Wellington Global Exchange (outgoing exchange) credit transfer contracts
  • Advice to students about aegrotat procedures

  • English Proficiency Programme, CertDEAF, and GCertTESOL students
  • Processing of student administration forms (eg course add/drop)
  • Coordination of the Faculty’s student support and wellbeing activities

  • GDipArts, BA(Hons), and PGDipArts students
  • Processing of transcripts and student administration forms

  • C–G of BA, BC, MA, and PhD students
  • A–L of Study Abroad pre-approvals
  • Administration of full degree applications from international students
  • Coordination of the Faculty’s postgraduate student support and wellbeing activities

  • A–H of New Zealand School of Music students (undergraduate and postgraduate)

  • Appreciative advising leader
  • Coordination of the Faculty’s equity and engagement activities
