Student Voice—Getting Started
The Student Voice—Getting Started survey is open for one week at the start of Trimester 1 each year, and is sent to all new students.
We want you to tell us about your initial impressions of life on campus, as well as your enrolment and orientation experience.
Based on recent feedback, we will be working towards the following improvements:
- Communication—enhancing the clarity and accessibility of information.
- Support and accessibility—increasing responsiveness and inclusiveness in our support services.
- Orientation—making orientation sessions more informative and engaging.
- Engagement—creating more opportunities for you to get involved in university experiences.
Student Voice—Have Your Say
The Have Your Say survey is sent to all undergraduate and postgraduate students and is open for three weeks in Trimester 2.
This survey aims to capture your feelings on your university experience so far. It covers various aspects of student life, including academic experiences, services and space, technology, sustainability, and overall student wellbeing.
The results of this survey will be used to inform planning and initiatives related to student experience in 2025 and beyond.
Global study on entrepreneurship
For the first time, Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington is taking part in an international study of university students’ career choices and entrepreneurial attitudes. The Global University Entrepreneurial Spirit Students’ Survey (GUESSS) is being completed by students at more than 1,000 universities in over 50 countries.
Students—your participation matters whether or not you see yourself as an entrepreneur. The results will help us understand the career and innovation aspirations of our students, and allow us to compare ourselves with students around the world. This information will also help shape curricular and extra-curricular programmes that support innovation and entrepreneurship across the University.
The survey will take around 15 minutes to complete. You can stop at any time before submitting your answers.
Your responses are completely anonymous—no names, student ID numbers, or IP addresses are collected, and you will not be identified in any reporting.
To thank you for your time, you can in a draw to win a new iPad with 256GB of storage, WIFI connectivity and an Apple Pencil. Entry into the draw is optional and your contact information is collected separately, so your survey responses remain anonymous.
If you would like further information, please contact Jesse Pirini from the School of Management, Co-Director of Te Kahu o Te Ao—The Atom Innovation Space.
