Collecting tickets and academic dress
Find out where and when to pick up your graduation pack, including tickets for guests, and where and when to collect and return your academic dress.
Collecting your graduation pack
If you're attending a ceremony at the Michael Fowler Centre, you'll collect a graduation pack from the Graduation Desk on the ground floor of Hugh MacKenzie Building, Kelburn Parade. If you're attending Te Hui Whakapūmau, you don't need a graduation pack.
You should pick up your graduation pack before you collect your academic dress. Your pack is an envelope containing your marshalling letter, ceremony number, and allocated guest tickets.
We will email you an individual QR code that you'll use to collect your pack.
You can ask a friend or family member to pick up your graduation pack for you. They will need to sign for it, and our service will be much faster if you have forwarded them the email with your QR code or printed it out for them.
Keep your graduation pack safe. We will not be able to replace your guest tickets if you misplace your pack.
Collecting academic dress
Your academic dress depends on the qualification you're graduating with, but typically includes a robe, hood, and cap.
You'll collect the academic dress for graduation ceremonies from the ground floor of Murphy Building, Kelburn Parade. Bring your academic dress receipt or student ID card when collecting.
If you're attending a Michael Fowler Centre (MFC) ceremony, you need to be at the venue and wearing your academic dress at least 45 minutes before the ceremony starts.
Returning academic dress
If you’re attending a ceremony on 16 or 17 May, we ask that you return your academic dress immediately after the ceremony at the Michael Fowler Centre. More details are provided below.
When you return your academic dress, be sure to bring your receipt.
