Some Midwifery, Nursing, and Health Psychology qualifications and some Health courses accept a limited number of students and apply selection criteria.
Bachelor of Midwifery
The Bachelor of Midwifery is limited to 40 places per year. Selection is based on meeting all entry requirements and attending a selection interview.
Bachelor of Health courses
Admission to the Health Internship (HLWB 302) is limited to 20 places per year. Criteria for selection include:
- having a grade average of B or higher in 200-level HLWB courses
- performance in a brief interview, and
- fit with the host agency.
If you intend to work with vulnerable populations, including children, the University will carry out a Children’s Act (CA) check for you through New Zealand Police.
Master of Nursing Practice
The Master of Nursing Practice has limited places each year. Selection is based on meeting all entry requirements and attending a selection interview.
Postgraduate Diploma in Health Psychology Practice
Places in the Postgraduate Diploma in Health Psychology Practice are very limited. Selection is based on meeting all entry requirements and attending a selection interview.
