Refugee-background scholarships

There are many scholarships in the database that may suit you, depending on your area of study and degree level. You can search the University's scholarships database, or start by looking at these scholarships:

  • Ngā Hoe a Kupe Pathfinder Scholarships—aimed at growing the participation and success of Māori and Pasifika students, and those from refugee and low socio-economic backgrounds in Wellington.
  • Totoweka Equity Scholarship—for school-leavers who are Māori, Pasifika, from refugee backgrounds, have a disability, identify as LGBTQIA+ and Takatāpui, or come from a socio-economically disadvantaged background.
  • Kahotea Outstanding Achievement Scholarship—for school-leavers who have achieved exceptional academic results, or have achieved in areas of culture, community involvement, leadership, or equity.
