Alumni Prize—Terms and conditions

Terms and conditions for the Victoria University of Wellington Open Day 2025 alumni prize.

1. About

These terms and conditions relate to the University’s Open Day 2025 alumni prize promotion. Information on this promotion forms part of these terms and conditions. Submitting a response is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.

2. Eligibility

This promotion is open to all alumni (graduates) of Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington who are resident in New Zealand with a child, grandchild, or other friend or family member considering enrolling with us. Current staff and contractors of the University are not eligible for this promotion.

3. How to enter

Participants may enter this promotion by completing the entry form at this link. All valid, fully completed entries will be entered into the prize draw. Entries must be received before the end of the promotion period. The promotion is limited to one entry per person.

4. Prize and draw

First prize is two return domestic Air New Zealand flights to Wellington departing a mainland domestic airport, one night’s accommodation for two people at the Mövenpick Wellington Hotel, and a voucher for two days' car rental from Avis. Second prize is two return domestic Air New Zealand flights to Wellington departing from a mainland domestic airport.

5. University Open Day

The prize must be used to attend the University Open Day on Friday, 22 August 2025, with your prospective student, family member, or friend. The winner agrees to have their photo taken and be available for a short interview with University staff during their visit to the Open Day.

6. Promotional period

The promotion commences on Tuesday 15 July and closes on Sunday 27 July 2025 at 9 pm.

7. How to claim

Winners will be contacted by phone at the mobile number provided. The University will make the necessary bookings on your behalf. Prizes cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash.

8. Time to claim

The winner will be notified by phone on Monday, 28 July, and must claim the prize immediately for the University to make the necessary bookings. The Promoter reserves the right to redraw or cancel the prize if the winner does not claim the prize.

9. Promoter

The promoter is Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington.

10. General

The promoter accepts no responsibility for any entries that are not received, incomplete, illegible, corrupted or which fail to be submitted by the closing date and time. Proof of submission is not proof of receipt. The promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries, to disqualify any entrant or to cancel or amend the reward or these terms and conditions at any time for any reason, without prior notice.

11. Decision final

In the event of any dispute regarding these terms and conditions, conduct, results and all other matters relating to the survey, the decision of the promoter is final, and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.

12. Privacy

By entering this promotion, you confirm that you understand that the information you provide is being collected for the purposes described in, and will be used in accordance with, the University’s Privacy Notice. As outlined in that privacy notice, we will update the contact details held by the University for you as a University alumnus.

13. Third parties

This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with any third-party platform such as social media. You confirm that you understand that you are providing your information to the promoter and/or agencies acting on its behalf and not to any third-party platform.

14. New Zealand

These terms and conditions and the promotion will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand and will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand Courts. All times and dollar amounts are New Zealand times and currency.
