Attend a careers expo
Register for a careers expo and promote your opportunities to graduates, meet motivated students and increase your organisation’s profile.
A careers expo is the perfect way to build brand recognition for your organisation on campus and meet a large pool of young talent for current or future vacancies. We hold three specialised and one multi-disciplinary careers expo per year.
The expos run to a simple, informal format over a two or three-hour advertised period.
Set-up time is available an hour before the expo and our Employer Relations team will be present on the day to assist you to connect with our students.
We encourage you to attend more than one expo so you can reach students from a broad range of disciplines and backgrounds.
2027 expos
Commerce and law careers expo—Monday 8 March 2027, 11 am - 2 pm
This expo is targeted at students from our Schools of Business and Government, and Law, based across Pipitea campus. This expo is a great opportunity to connect with students early in the year, and advertise upcoming graduate opportunities. Held in Rutherford house, Pipitea campus, Wellington central.
STEM careers expo—Thursday 13 May 2027, 11 am - 2 pm
Previously Tech, Science, and Health careers expo
Promote your opportunities and network with students from science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and a range of other disciplines. Held in the Hub, Kelburn campus.
Victoria University careers expo—Tuesday 20 July 2027, 11 am - 2 pm
Previously Trimester 2 careers expo
This is our multi-disciplinary expo, aimed at students from all cohorts. This is a great opportunity for employers to connect with a broad range of students for upcoming opportunities mid-year onwards, and to reach final year students prior to finishing their studies. Held in the Hub, Kelburn campus.
Summer jobs pop-up—Wednesday 15 September 2027, 12 pm - 2 pm
This pop-up event is a chance to advertise part-time, temporary, casual, and internship opportunities, to both current students and upcoming graduates. Held in the Hub, Kelburn campus.
Expo pricing
All expos have a cost of $350 + GST for private sector organisations, $175 + GST for public-sector organisations, and free for not-for-profit/charities.
This includes:
- one table (1800mm x 750mm) at the expo
- one black tablecloth (340cm x 230cm)
- two chairs
- catering for up to four staff
- full marketing of your presence at the event to students
- one panel board (if requested).
