Kia ora koutou, I am Destin Gallichan-Pearce. I am studying Political Science, History, and Philosophy, living at Weir House, and looking for your vote for student representative on the Council of Te Herenga Waka.

Fair, just, accurate, and passionate. That is how I would describe how I represent my people. These aren’t just buzz words meant to allure students into voting for me, but instead a package in the mail that is with the courier, and only moments away from being delivered. Just tick here on my funky little tablet and it’s all yours. I acted in the capacity of student representative on the board of trustees, heading performing and cultural arts for the student body the following year. Within first year halls, I have been elected onto the executive as a floor representative and now secretary for the executive. I now seek to apply this experience and use it for good at a larger level: representing students at Te Herenga Waka, Victoria University of Wellington. Seeing the range of diversity, culture, passion, and interests that the students of VUW present, it’s a community that I have grown to adore and cherish. Representing you would be a pleasure, an honour, and something that I will pour my heart into: being a capable, understanding, and accurate voice.
