Academic quality assurance
Quality assurance involves a number of processes to ensure that programmes and courses are well designed and meet national and international standards.
It also includes the monitoring and review of programmes to ensure that their goals are being achieved and on-going improvements are being made.
The University also undergoes external academic audit by the Academic Quality Agency.

We ask students to rate their experience of our functions, events, facilities and services through the Student Voice surveys.

Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington undergoes a regular audit that involves a self-review and external evaluation of our academic quality.
Academic programme reviews
As part of its commitment to academic quality assurance, the University has established a schedule of academic programme reviews.
Graduating year reviews
All New Zealand universities are required by Universities New Zealand—Te Pōkai Tara to conduct graduating year reviews (GYRs).
The Academic Office coordinates the statutes, policies and other publications that support quality academic processes and outcomes.
