Tam completed their MA in Classical Studies researching ancient Greek religion and cult. Their research focused on the Orphic-Dionysiac cult, specifically looking at archaeological evidence buried with members of the cult referred to as Orphic gold leaves. These gold leaves give directions for the underworld and examining the role of the goddess of Memory (Mnemosyne) in them alongside philosophical and mythological works of the time can shed light on how the ancient Greeks conceptualised the identity of the soul after death.
