All new applicants need to meet one of the admission types to gain entry to Victoria University of Wellington. For postgraduate entry (Honours, Master’s, Certificates and Diplomas) and Teacher Education programmes, you’ll also need to meet additional programme specific requirements.

For new students wanting to enrol in Classical or Jazz performance or Music Therapy, an audition is required. For information about how to apply and due dates see the Audition page on the Te Kōkī New Zealand School of Music website.

Note: audition applications are due by 20 July in the year preceding enrolment.

You will normally need to be at least 16 years of age by the application closing date.
