International students
New international students have a different application process and cannot apply using this online system. International students applying for a doctoral degree should apply through the Wellington Faculty of Graduate Research.
When to apply

Doctoral students
For PhD and doctoral study, you cannot apply using this online system. You must apply online through the Wellington Faculty of Graduate Research.
Master's programmes
You can apply online for most Master's programmes but some need paper applications. Check the application process with your Faculty office before you apply.
Admission types
All new applicants need to meet one of the admission types to gain entry to Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington. For postgraduate entry (Honours, Master’s, certificates, and diplomas) and Teacher Education programmes, you’ll also need to meet additional programme specific requirements.
For new students wanting to enrol in Classical or Jazz performance or Music Therapy, an audition is required. Find out about auditions on the Te Kōkī New Zealand School of Music website.
Audition applications are due by 20 July in the year preceding enrolment.
You will normally need to be at least 16 years of age by the application closing date.

If you've applied for open-entry courses and programmes only, your Offer of Study should arrive within four weeks after you apply. See accept your Offer of Study to find out the next steps, or check what documentation you must supply.
