Kia ora, I’m Madison. I identify as an American, heterosexual, cisgendered female, and go by she/her pronouns. I was born and raised in a small Texas town. During the beginning of 2019, I hopped the pond to New Zealand to complete the internship for my Masters program at Student Counselling. I fell in love with New Zealand and working with the students at Victoria University. In August of 2019, I moved to New Zealand and officially joined the Counselling team.
I value the opportunity to build relationships and provide a supportive place for people to share their experiences and goals. I enjoy working together to navigate the challenges people face and develop skills to make changes that will lead to a more fulfilling life.
I have a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, a minor in Business Administration, a Masters of Science in Social Work, and am a Registered Social Worker in New Zealand.
When I’m not a work, I enjoy playing soccer/football, FaceTiming my dog back in Texas, and spending Sunday afternoons watching Netflix with my flat mates.
