My name is Isabel, I identify as a New Zealand cisgender female (she/her) and was raised on the Kapiti coast.
I studied a Bachelor of Social Work at Otago in Dunedin before moving back to Wellington to work.
My career started in Dunedin where I was a caseworker for teenagers at a youth service.
When I returned to Wellington I was a caseworker at a residential drug and alcohol service and was privileged to work with people in recovery.
I moved to the Mauri Ora team as I enjoy working with youth and young adults, and like to create a safe comfortable environment for people to express their needs.
I mostly use counselling styles of Motivational Interviewing and CBT and like to be goal orientated. I am registered with NZSWRB.
Outside of work I like being social with friends, seeing theatre and comedy shows, playing netball, and love music.
