My name is Hinemoa and I'm the new Kaiarahi Tauira (Māori Lead Counsellor) based at Mauri Ora—Student Health and Counselling on the Kelburn campus, and I also work every Friday on the Pipitea campus.

I am a registered mental health nurse trained in Psychiatry in the Waikato and I have several years of experience in mental health including acute. I have been with Mauri Ora for over a year and I was part of the Mental Health Coordinator team based there.

I welcome all referrals from Māori students at Victoria University and all documentation is held in a confidential, secure way within the Mauri Ora service.
