General medical
Our doctors and nurses can help you with a wide range of health concerns.
Mauri Ora provides health and wellbeing support, and treats both acute (severe and sudden onset) and chronic (long-term) conditions. Some of the things that our doctors and nurses can help you with include:
- contraception (including advice and fitting of long-acting, removable contraception)
- sexual health checks and STI treatment
- cervical screening
- travel consultation
- minor operations, for example, mole removal and toenail resections
- injuries
- illnesses
- skin problems
- asthma
- diabetes
- preventative health care, for example, immunisations and lifestyle advice.
If you need a specialist medical service such as dermatology or endocrinology, you'll need to see one of our doctors first to get a referral.
Costs
If you’re a domestic, Manaaki, or ELTO student, you can get free routine medical appointments. If you’re an international student you should look at our pricing schedule. Some services may incur a cost even if you’re a domestic, Manaaki, or ELTO student.
Who you'll see
Our doctors can help you with all general health concerns, and can prescribe medications. Our nurses can help you with routine health checkups, and with cervical screening, STI tests, and vaccinations. If you're not sure who you need to see, ask our receptionist when you make an appointment.
