Specialists
We offer some specialist services, and will refer you to external specialists as needed. Some types of healthcare specialists don't require a referral from us.
Specialists outside Student Health
Our doctors will refer you as needed to external specialist services such as radiology and psychiatry. You can make your own arrangements to see a dentist, optometrist, or physiotherapist—we don't offer these services and you don't need a referral from a doctor.
Physiotherapist
We don't offer a physiotherapy service, and you don't need a referral to make your own appointment with a physiotherapist. The Physio Spot runs student clinics on our Kelburn campus, as well as at their other locations in Wellington. You can make an appointment via the their website or call them on 0800 842 749. You don't need to be enrolled at Mauri Ora to book an appointment.
Optometrist
We don't offer an optometry service, and you don't need a referral to make your own appointment with an optometrist. Victoria University of Wellington students receive discounted rates at Specsavers and Matthews Eyewear.
Dentist
We don't offer a dentistry service, and you don't need a referral to make your own appointment with a dentist. You can receive discounted rates at Wellington Dentists.
