Mike has been working as a programme manager and consultant across government agencies since 2017 when he completed his MBA at the University. These assignments have included New Zealand’s hosting of the APEC year of meetings in 2021and the design of, and relocation to, MFAT’s new Head Office earlier this year. He is currently involved in a significant piece of improvement work in the health and safety space. Mike arrived in New Zealand in 2003 after working as a lawyer and law lecturer in the UK, and has since held a range of leadership positions in the finance and trustee industries in Auckland and Wellington (and a short spell in Sydney), as well as spending some time as a project manager in telecommunications.
