Logan Peterson

Container Operations Manager, CentrePort

Logan Peterson joined the New Zealand Army in 2011 as an infantry soldier. He later attended the Officer Cadet School (New Zealand), graduating as a Second Lieutenant in December 2012.

He went on to serve 12 years in the Royal New Zealand Army Logistics Regiment, specialising in petroleum distribution and storage. During this time, he held a range of leadership roles, including Senior Instructor at the New Zealand Army’s Logistics Operations School.

While posted to Queen Alexandra’s Mounted Rifles, Logan deployed to Iraq on Operation Inherent Resolve as a Logistics Company Operations Officer, supporting the ANZAC Task Group in Baghdad. In this role, he contributed to the development and delivery of specialist logistics and maintenance training to Iraqi Security Forces.

Logan left the Regular Army in 2022 to take up his current role as Container Operations Manager at CentrePort, the Port of Wellington. During his time in this role, he completed an Executive Master of Business Administration at Victoria University of Wellington, with the support of his wife, Melanie, and their two children, Maddison and Lachlan.
