Francene Wineti

Director, Awariki Limited

Francene Wineti (Te Ātihaunui-a-Pāpārangi, Ngāti Tūwharetoa, Ngāti Rangi, and Ngāti Kahungunu ki Wairoa) is a senior executive and governance leader with extensive experience across Māori economic development, science and innovation, and primary industries.  She holds directorships with Ngāti Tūwharetoa Fisheries Limited and the Bioprocessing Resource Alliance, and serves as Co-Chair of NZ Ag Emission's Toi Hau Māori Advisory board, amongst others. She is also Co-Founder and Trustee of Te Ara Pōtiki — a charitable trust placing Māori professionals in global agrifood innovation businesses.

Through her consultancy, Awariki Consulting Limited, Francene provides specialist advisory services in Strategy, Māori research and development and cultural capability.

Francene is an MBA alumna of Victoria University of Wellington's School of Management, and brings that foundation to her role on the Industry Advisory Group
