Studying Human Resource Management and Employment Relations in the School of Management opened opportunities for my career. The school taught a strong balance of theory and applied practice like group bargaining simulations, critical reflection, and general thinking which has equipped me with the confidence and capability to enrich impactful HR roles.

Through the School of Management, I was able to get hands on experience as a HR Coordinator and HR Analyst and, after graduation, a HR Systems Partner, with experience across multiple Public Sector Agencies. The School of Management enabled me to contribute meaningfully early in my career and continue advancing at pace.

I was honoured to be named HRNZ Student of the Year Finalist in 2024. That reflected both my professional development and the strength of the school in developing leaders. Leading HRER201 tutorials for four years further strengthened my leadership and communication capability, reinforcing my commitment to developing people practice.

Victoria University empowered me not only with technical expertise, but with the confidence to lead, influence, and continuously strive for excellence in the HR profession.
