Senior Architecture Lecturer Simon Twose displayed his exhibit ‘Concrete /cloud/’ at the Palazzo Mora as part of the 2016 Venice Architecture Biennale.

This was Simon’s third time exhibiting at the Biennale.

Simon’s research is in architectural drawing, and Concrete /cloud/ is a giant “sketch” of a single wall at 1:1 scale, cast in two tonnes of concrete.

Concrete/ cloud/ was made in 355 pieces using steel and CNC milled moulds.
