Sports leagues

On-campus social sports leagues include netball, indoor football, futsal, volleyball and basketball. They’re fun, affordable, and designed for students.

Our social sports leagues are a great way to get active in a fun and friendly environment. Leagues are held on the Kelburn campus. Referees and playing bibs are provided. Leagues run for nine playing weeks and break for the University holidays.

We host open leagues and mixed leagues. Open leagues have no gender combination requirements. There are gender combination requirements in mixed leagues.

Sign up as a student team, a combined team, or as an individual player. Student teams are made up of Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington students with valid student ID numbers only. Combined teams must have a minimum of three students from the University with valid student IDs. You can also sign up as an individual player for certain leagues.
