Pasifika Law Students Society of Victoria University of Wellington
Provide support for Pasifika students throughout their journey at law school.
The Pasifika Law Students’ Society (PLSS) is a student-led association dedicated to enhancing the experience of Pasifika law students at the Faculty of Law. By celebrating and promoting our rich Pacific heritage, PLSS fosters an inclusive environment through advocacy, educational initiatives, and social events. Guided by our vision, "Tautua nei mo sou manuia a taeao"—Serve now for a better tomorrow—we strive to create a supportive and culturally enriching space for students to thrive.
Our initiatives include:
- the annual Study and Wellbeing Retreat
- the Loloma Mentoring Programme for 100-level students
- academic competitions such as the Pasifika Moot
- a variety of social events.
We also collaborate with Ngā Rangahautira, recognising our connection through Te Moana-nui-a-Kiwa (the Pacific Ocean). We are proud of our heritage and committed to ensuring Pasifika voices are heard and celebrated within the Faculty of Law.
