Piano Tuning Request for Quotation
NZSM invites piano technicians to participate in a request for quotation (RFQ) process for tuning the School's pianos through to 2018.
This RFQ is for regular maintenance tunings and preferred status for one-off tunings on specified pianos related to events and recordings on the Kelburn campus of Victoria University of Wellington. This RFQ also covers vendor status as the preferred supplier for maintenance work such as refelting hammers, fixing actions, repairing piano cases and other required repairs and improvements. It is expected that the successful vendor will be able to begin maintenance tunings in March or April 2016. In order to mitigate risks to the university, it is possible that Victoria University of Wellington will have a contractual arrangement with more than one vendor as a result of this RFQ process.

Unless there is any breach of contract or serious wrongdoing or misconduct, the successful vendor or vendors will be contracted by the university through until the end of 2018. It is expected that a subsequent RFQ will occur in the third quarter of 2018.
