Marcus Jackson's Toi Pōneke Residency begins
Coming up at Toi Pōneke is Sound Artist in Residence Marcus Jackson's Slime Inheritance, which will run from the 16th January to the 5th February.
Marcus Jackson is an artist, composer and writer based in Pōneke. He creates work that interrogates the links between physical gesture and sound production, often with uncanny results. In Slime Inheritance he installs a system of valves and pipes into the gallery. At various points in the system, air escapes to activate sound objects, creating a sonified installation.
Marcus has been the sound artist-in-residence since the 15th October.
