Copyright conference
Graeme Austin was selected by the Australian Copyright Council to provide commentary on a major address by the U.S. Copyright Register, Hon. Maria Pallante at the peak body’s recent Sydney Conference.
Ms Pallante was appointed to lead the Copyright Office by President Obama in 2011. Her speech set out the U.S. legislative agenda in the copyright field. Fellow commentators were leading Australian academics, Profs Sam Ricketson (Melbourne University) and Melissa de Zwart (Dean of Adelaide Law School.)
