Our career consultants can help you with career planning, decision-making and job applications—from the general exploration of career ideas and the implications of your subject choices, to details of specific jobs and employers, specialised postgraduate courses, careers information and job-searching techniques.
Careers Help Desk at Kelburn and Pipitea campuses
A career consultant will help get you started with an information and general advice drop in service:
- Learn about careers resources to help with finding jobs, researching employers and networking.
- Get answers to quick queries on job applications and study choices.
- Get advice to prepare for a careers appointment so we can best meet your needs.
Kelburn Campus 1.30 pm to 4.30 pm Monday to Friday, Hunter Building, Room 120
Pipitea Campus 1 pm to 3 pm Tuesdays and 10 am to 12.00 midday Fridays, Piptea campus, Info Ihonui desk, Ground floor, Rutherford House
Career consultant appointment—20 minutes
Discuss careers related queries including advice and feedback about CVs, cover letters or job applications.
Career consultant appointment—30 minutes
Discuss career-related issues such as career direction, study choices, job search and employment.
