Rugby League
The Victoria University of Wellington ‘Hunters’ Rugby League Club has been running since 2000 and plays in the local Wellington rugby league competition.
The club has several teams playing in the local Wellington Rugby League competition and also has members who represent the NZ University Rugby league team and the Wellington Men’s Rugby League team (the Orcas).
In 2013 the University Hunters took out the Wellington Rugby League title for the first time, winning the Grand Final against the Randwick Kingfishers 22–10!
