Field Work, Data, Analysis, and Difficulties: Oroha Documentation in Unprecedented Times

This talk chronicles the adventure thus far into the documentation of Oroha and how we've been trying to find ways to move forward

The Oroha Grammar Project started a few years ago, and relied on the ability to return to the field site and document the language as it is spoken today, to collaborate with the community and help document their endangered language in hopes that it will not become extinct. This talk will give an overview of the Oroha community, the language at a glance and show just how work was done before a global pandemic changed everything; Then we discuss what we're doing to try to move forward in this brave new world.
