A Drawing Ensemble

Te Aro's Window Gallery showcases hand drawings by fifth year master of Architecture students in multilayered display

“Night

A drawing Ensemble presents a selection of drawn work from two fifth year masters of architecture theses, fused together through their analogue drawing methods. The works by Guy van der Wilt—supervised by Sam Kebbell, and Ella Jones—supervised by Simon Twose plays on the nature of Te Aro's Window Gallery by using a layered hanging technique, creating a multidimensional viewing experience for audiences on street level.

The exhibition seeks to advocate for the importance of hand drawings in process and representation. Promoting drawing as an essential tool for critical thought about architecture, and reigniting classic architectural approaches while incorporating modern learning and innovation to architectural design processes.
