Beeloved

Beeloved is a small honey business launched by Hanna Kilmister in 2020 through Young Enterprise (YES).

Hanna's mission was to provide affordable and sustainable honey, sourced from a local Bay of Plenty supplier in Opotiki. Their UMF-certified Manuka honey has unique medicinal properties and has been very popular throughout the pandemic. The range of honey products includes Manuka, Rewarewa, Bush and Tawari.

Hanna started her business during the outbreak of Covid-19. Although it was challenging, she saw this as an opportunity to reach out to a different markets online. Hanna created a 'Zero Carbon' delivery service and delivered all her honey orders by push bike to those who lived in Taupo. When the lockdown was over, she began to sell her honey through a local tourism business.

"Because of my business success, I was able to compete at Young Enterprise Regionals and place first in enterprise studies in high school."
