Luna Fukuchi is studying a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Marketing and International Business and Jessamy Roadley is studying a Bachelor of Design Innovation majoring in Industrial Design.

Wellington City Market was founded by Luna Fukuchi and Jessamy Roadley, both first-year students at Victoria University of Wellington. Their vision was to establish a vibrant community for vintage collectors and emerging artists.

Recognizing an unmet need in the market, they took the initiative to organize a recurring event, set to occur every second Sunday. The market has quickly gained momentum, offering a diverse array of treasures. From vintage clothing and jewelry to unique pottery and other creations, Wellington City Market is for those seeking one-of-a-kind items and supporting local talent.

Fueled by their passion and entrepreneurial spirit, Luna and Jessamy have cultivated an inclusive space where creativity can flourish, and connections between artists, collectors, and the community are made. This exciting venture promises to be an awesome addition to Wellington's culture, offering a regular opportunity to explore and engage with the city's artistic and vintage treasures. Follow along on this journey by following their social media pages!

The first market will take place on 22 October 2023 at Civic Square.
