Roundtable on China and Asian Security

A roundtable on China and Asian security, sponsored by the China Centre with the Victoria University of Wellington Political Science and International Relations programmes, was held on 15 April 2009 at the Victoria Room, Victoria University of Wellington.

The Roundtable, on the Chatham House rule, brought together visiting Chinese foreign policy specialists from overseas and policy analysts from NZ’s international security policy community and discussed a wide range of issues including latest developments in China’s international relations, US–China relations, activities of China in South Pacific and opportunities and issues in NZ–China relations.

The China Centre hopes to organize similar roundtables in the future as a platform for academics and policy analysis to discuss issues of significance for NZ–China relations.
