Conferences and lectures

We organise an annual conference, the NZ International Conference on Contemporary China, and other conferences, symposiums, lectures, roundtables and seminars.

New Zealand International Conference on Contemporary China

We organise an annual international conference which brings together leading scholars to examine key issues in China studies for New Zealand.

Global Seminar Series

The Centre organises seminars and lectures on China-related issues relevant to a New Zealand audience.

Other conferences and symposiums

The Centre organises occasional conferences and symposiums on China in New Zealand and abroad.

Public lectures

The China Research Centre also organises public lectures on China-related topics by leading scholars, diplomats and officials.

Roundtables

Roundtables provide an opportunity for New Zealand and Chinese scholars and officials to exchange views on a number of issues relevant to the region.

China Capable Public Sector

The New Zealand Contemporary China Research Centre works in close partnership with the China Capable Public Sector (CCPS) on a range of projects.
