Welcome to Game On! - a week of gaming at the Library!
The Library is bringing together academics, gamers and enthusiasts to celebrate gaming in education. We've got it all this week! Sign up now! All registrations are for staff and students and will run a waitlist. Below is the Game On! schedule with links to necessary registrations.
Timetable (Events with * require registration):
Monday 10 August:
9am - noon: Student work on display (Kelburn Library, Level 2 main entrance). Student work will be on display for the week.
9am - 5:30pm: Game sharing (Glass Room, Level 2, Kelburn Library): A range of board and video games will be on offer. Any staff and students can share their favourite games (HDMI-compatible consoles or board games). There will also be some allocated computers on Level 2 for PC gaming (south entrance).
Tuesday 11 August:
9am - 11am: Speed Puzzling Competition* - This is a staff and students event. We will run more sessions if need be.
11:30am- 5:30pm: Game sharing (Glass Room, Level 2, Kelburn Library)
Wednesday 12 August:
9am - 5:30pm: Game sharing (Glass Room, Level 2, Kelburn Library). There will also some rare games shared today.
10am: RPG share - RPG: Blood on the Clocktower game of deduction starts (Game 1)* (Glass Room, Level 2, Kelburn Library).
1pm: RPG share - RPG: Blood on the Clocktower game of deduction starts (Game 2)*
2pm - 3pm: Character costume design workshop (Te Aro - WIG001): (19 ppl max) Costume a game character in Clo3D*
3pm: RPG share - RPG: Blood on the Clocktower game of deduction starts (Game 3)*
Thursday 13 August:
9am-noon: Game sharing (Glass Room, Level 2, Kelburn Library)
11-11:45am: Open Gaming Course lecture (Glass Room, Level 2, Kelburn Library)
Noon-1:20: Seven experts speak (14mins each)* (Glass Room, Level 2, Kelburn Library)
1:30-2:30pm: Expert panel discussion* (Glass Room, Level 2, Kelburn Library).
3-4pm: Open Gaming Ethics Lecture (Hunter Lounge).
From 5:30-8pm: Video Gaming tournament* (Computer Suite, Level 2, Kelburn Library).
Friday 14 August:
9am-3pm: Game sharing (Glass Room, Level 2, Kelburn library)
