The School of Linguistics and Applied Language Studies offers two degrees, writing courses, and a New Zealand Sign Language minor at undergraduate level.

Undergraduate TESOL not offered in 2024

We won’t be accepting new students to study the undergraduate TESOL major in 2024, but we are planning to offer it again in 2025.

Majors and minors

If you are considering majoring in Linguistics or Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) or minor in New Zealand Sign Language you can enrol for a Bachelor of Arts degree.

The School also teaches undergraduate courses in Writing.
