Master’s thesis reports

Masters progress reports can be submitted in Panoho from 15 October once the system is live.

Note - only use this form if your student intends to submit before 15 October 2025. If they will submit after 15 October, you will need to submit an “Appointment of Examiners” form in Panoho after the system goes live.

Candidature management forms

We are currently transferring data into the new candidate management system, Panoho. This means that we need all student records to be frozen between now and 15 October 2025. Please do not request changes to enrolment until 15 October. That is, please do not ask for a suspension, extension, switch to part-time, or other alteration to your candidature between now and 15 October.  Once the new system is up and running, you will be able to ask for changes in the new system.

However, if you do have something that urgently needs to be done, please contact fgr-postgrads@vuw.ac.nz, who will be able to advise you.

This freeze does not apply to submission of your thesis. If you are planning to submit your thesis in the next two weeks, please do use the normal submission forms.

Appointment of an Honorary Research Associate

We are currently transferring data into the new candidate management system, Panoho. In the new system it will be up to supervisors to create an external supervisor.  There will be training documentation around how to do this or you could join in one of the training sessions for staff:
