Information for Master’s degrees by thesis

The Wellington Faculty of Graduate Research is responsible for the governance of our Master’s by thesis programmes.

The Wellington Faculty of Graduate Research (WFGR) is responsible for the governance of all the Master’s by thesis programmes. The normal, ongoing management of Masters by Thesis candidates where the value of the thesis is 90 points or more the candidature is the responsibility of the Wellington Faculty of Graduate Research.

If you are interested in enrolling for a Master’s degree, you should contact one of Victoria University of Wellington’s academic faculties or schools directly for more information. Applications should be made online via the Masters Programmes webpage.

Information for Master’s by Thesis students

While the majority of this website is written for doctoral students, some sections also apply to Master’s by thesis students.

Converting from a Master’s to a PhD
