Te Puni Village is located on our Kelburn campus—a handy spot for students studying there, close to your classes and other university services. It’s made up of three multi-story buildings separated by glass walkways with single bedrooms, single studios, and apartments.

  • Te Puni Village is operated by Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington.
  • May appeal to independent, mature students.
  • Studio rooms are furnished and heated, each with a private bathroom and basic cooking facilities.
  • Single apartment rooms are furnished and heated, with a shared bathroom and kitchen area.

  • Students have access to all common areas and study spaces in the hall.
  • 24/7 camera surveillance and swipe card access is required to enter the building.

The 2027 fee excludes electricity, heating and internet. These services are provided, and the cost is an additional $40 per week. The rate will be confirmed when you receive your offer.

One-trimester-only contracts may incur an additional 10 percent fee.

Visit our halls

Contact the hall directly to make an appointment to visit. If you wish to see more than one hall on the same day, make sure you allow at least 30–40 minutes to cover the tour and the time to travel to the next hall. You can book a hall tour during school holidays.
