Profile:

Kexin Li is a PhD student in Accounting at the School of Accounting and Commercial Law, Victoria University of Wellington. Her research examines how firms’ environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance influences litigation risk across countries. She investigates whether external assurance and corporate reputation mitigate this risk, highlighting the roles of credibility and trust in shaping legal outcomes. By integrating external (assurance) and internal (reputation) governance mechanisms, her study aims to provide empirical insights that inform corporate governance practices, regulatory policy, and the development of the assurance market in managing ESG-related litigation risk.
