Professor LIU Peng

Biography

Professor LIU Peng is currently an associate professor from School of Public Administration & Policy, Renmin University of China after he obtained his Ph.D. from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. His research mainly focuses on public risk governance, particularly food & drug regulation. He is an adjunct professor of Ford School of Public Policy, University of Michigan at Ann Arbor. Also, he serves as a research fellow of Food Safety Governance Center, Renmin University of China and an external expert for Chinese National Food Safety Commission, Chinese National Health and Family Planning Commission, China Food and Drug Administration (CFDA) and China National Center for Food Safety Risk Assessment (CFSA). A few of his research papers and articles on healthcare, food and pharmaceutical policies have been published in a series of reputable journals and magazines. In addition, he is conducting a research project funded by National Natural Science Foundation of China on food safety indicator and policy evaluation in this country.
