Bicycle Repair and Maintenance Hands-On Workshops

The mechanics from Bikespace are bringing their mobile workshop to Victoria University of Wellington to help everyone learn how to diagnose issues, make repairs, and build bike confidence.  With equal parts teaching and fixing you will work hands on with mechanics.  Bring your bike along and learn how to have it running at its best.

Time: 12 noon to 2 pm, Location: Boyd Wilson Arena, BWA101 – ride your bike right to the door.

Hūnuku–community bike workshop

If you need help with your bike repair visit Kevin our resident expert at Hūnuku. In the well-equipped workshop he can help you identify the problem and work alongside you to fix it.

Hunuku community bike workshop

Tools of the trade - what are they and how do you use them?

Presented by Bikespace this is an opportunity for any aspiring mechanics to learn about all the tools available in Victoria University of Wellington’s own bicycle repair workshop – Hūnuku.

Botanic Garden to City guided bike ride

The Botanic Gardens to City section of the cycle network is nearly complete.  Wellington City Council are keen to hear your feedback so have invited students and staff to join them for a guided bike ride along the route.   If you don’t have your own bike they can provide e-bikes and equipment, as well as some practice skills by Pedal Ready for anyone that needs it.  Plus, experienced instructors will accompany the group on the ride.
