More than 80 people working for and advising not-for-profit organisations gathered to listen to keynote speakers discuss issues facing the sector. Of particular note was the Thursday afternoon 'conference within a conference' in which upcoming changes in the financial reporting framework and the Incorporated Societies Act were discussed, along with the effect of the Better Public Services programme led by the State Services Commission on the sector.

Presenters included academics and experts in the sports, social service and membership sub-sectors. The Hon Peter Dunne, Revenue Minister, presented a clear review of tax policy for the sector as well as an update on current and future issues. Other sessions included 'undertaking an organisational health check' and 'surviving and thriving in the changing funding environment'.
