Disabled Students Association
The Disabled Students Association is the representative group for disabled students at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington.
The Disabled Students Association (DSA) aims to create a social space for disabled and impaired students, and also advocate against ableism in the educational system.
DSA meets regularly and hosts social events for members, has a regular column in the student newspaper Salient, and is actively involved on the Equity and Diversity Committee of VUWSA.
DSA and Disability Services work closely to support each other’s aims, activities, and events, like recognising Mental Health Awareness Week. Members are welcome to share as much or as little about themselves as they feel comfortable. Find out more about the work they do by visiting their Facebook page.
