Congratulations to Professor Evan Berman, who received the American Society for Public Administration's award for Outstanding Scholarship in Public Sector Human Resources Management.

Professor Evan Berman can add another impressive accolade after receiving the American Society for Public Administration's (ASPA) award for Outstanding Scholarship in Public Sector Human Resources Management.

Dr Berman, Professor of Public Management and Director of Internationalisation at the School of Government received the award in Seattle last month at the Society’s annual conference.

The award was presented by ASPA's Section on Personnel Administration and Labour Relations.

Throughout Professor Berman’s 30-year career in public administration, he has published 14 books and 140 articles, many in leading journals. He is identified as "a top scholar with the most articles in ISI Web of Science Public Administration journals, 1973-2006" and "a top featured author in the Review of Public Personnel Administration, 1980-2008".

His book Human Resource Management in Public Service (fifth edition) is globally used and recently received a Cornerstone Author award from Sage.

Professor Berman has also received multiple awards for contributions and teaching in public administration, in human resource management, public performance and comparative public administration across various Asian countries.
