Profile
Manisha Saha is a PhD candidate in Information Systems at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington. Originally from Dhaka, Bangladesh, she completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Information Science and Library Management at the University of Dhaka, graduating with distinction and receiving the Dean’s Award of Honor and the Lion Md. Jonab Ali and Farzana Jonab Gold Medal. Her doctoral research, titled “The Agentic Shift of AI in Information Management in New Zealand,” investigates how emerging forms of agentic artificial intelligence are transforming information practices, organizational decision‑making, and the future of knowledge services. Her work examines the implications of autonomous and goal‑directed AI systems for information literacy, human–AI collaboration, and the evolving capabilities of New Zealand organizations.
Before beginning her doctoral studies, Manisha worked as a Junior Assistant Librarian at BRAC University’s Ayesha Abed Library. In this role, she supported a diverse academic community by facilitating access to digital databases, institutional repositories, and research resources, and by assisting students and faculty with information retrieval and reference services. Her broader research interests include information literacy, search self‑efficacy, digital transformation, and organizational knowledge capabilities. Through her doctoral work, she aims to advance understanding of how AI‑driven systems reshape information environments and influence evidence‑based academic and organizational practices.
