Drawing from David's research on the human experience and behaviour in pricing decisions, negotiations, and conflict, as well as on the success and failure of self-control, David will explain their theoretical connection to the information management context. In particular, the fascinating effects of first offers in negotiations and their anchoring impact, the influence of precise versus round numbers, procedural framing, ego depletion, self-control, social identity processes, smartphone use, the interplay of posture and power, psycho-physiological measures, big data, and meta-analyses are highly relevant to current information systems and management research.
